Let me share a story...

Back in 2018, a gentleman approached me to officiate. His family had moved here from the Dominican Republic when he was a child, so his English was perfect. But, his bride from the DR had only arrived four months before, and understood and spoke almost none. I said to myself, "How can I officiate for them if she doesn’t understand a word I'm saying? She deserves better."

Knowing some Spanish, I told the groom that I would get my ceremony translated, and do the ceremony in both languages. It went wonderfully well. The Hispanic MC was particularly moved by my willingness to do this. She was amazed that I cared about the bride's experience to that extent. Other guests felt the same and complimented me on my Spanish, saying they said they could tell that I understood and felt everything I said.

The couple felt loved, and well served.

That is success.
